This section is for flights and achievements you need to achieve at some stage during hour building.

Night rating: This is a good one for the autumn and winter when the days are shorter. Having a night rating will allow you to undertake longer flights and not be limited by daylight (provided the weather is good enough). Stay legal and safe at all times

CPL Qualifying cross country. Keep an eye on the weather and hopefully take advantage of any good weather windows you find to complete the qualifier. "VFR Cross-country flight of at least 540km (300NM), which should also include full stop landings at two aerodomes different from that of departure"

Fly to a different country. If the opportunity allows, try and fly to a different country or FIR region

Complete a flight that requires you to file a flight plan
